Here's what no one prepares you for:

Most brides don't find out what it takes to make their dream wedding come true until they are completely overwhelmed.

By then it is too late to fix, too late to plan around, too late to do anything but just try to smile through it.

But it's not your fault.

Nobody ever handed you a map for running the biggest day of your life.

Sure, you've been "pre-planning" for years.

The dress, the colours, the laughter, the guests, the pictures, you've imagined it a hundred times already.

But nobody prepares you for the other half of it.

Somehow you're just supposed to know what it actually takes to produce your biggest celebration?

Yet you had the intuition when you woke up one morning, feeling that it is time to get real about the planning.

So here's a few questions almost nobody asks you before the big day:

  • Are there any flower allergies amongst your guests?
  • What's the plan if a guest has a medical emergency mid-reception?
  • Do you have wedding liability insurance in place for your guests and venue?
  • What's the plan B if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Most brides don't think about this, until something goes wrong on the day itself.

And you might have thought to trust an AI chatbot with planning the biggest day of your life.

Just remember that AI has never had to stand in a reception hall at midnight to explain to their loved ones why none of the above was thought through before.

Right now, close your eyes for a second and picture that happening to you.

After all these years it is finally your time to live your dream.

And you only get to do this right once.

Your dress. The one that makes you tear up a little in the mirror. Your girls beside you, wearing the colours you chose.

The decoration, the flowers, every tiny detail that makes this day unmistakably yours.

Your walk down the aisle.

Wiping your tears without ruining your makeup (you’ve got this girl!).

Seeing him.

Everything else going blurry except the two of you.

The vows. The rings. Dancing like nobody's watching, because for this one night, it’s only about you two.

But here's the thing about doing things for the first time:

You don't know what you don't know.

Just imagine how you would feel if:

  • The toilet paper runs out an hour before the pricey liquor mysteriously disappears, right around the time two uncles start negotiating over the last drumstick on the buffet, followed by ten more guests with empty plates.

  • Your great-aunt developed a peanut allergy nobody remembered to ask about. One cross-contaminated appetizer later, you're watching her get rolled into an ambulance mid-first-dance.

  • Come midnight, the bottled water has run out, you're telling your mother-in-law: 'that her best option right now is the bathroom tap whilst you find a solution.'

  • Once the groomsmen finish your Aperol reserve, they suggest making a beer & water run but quietly put a few "extras" on your card. A crate of Don Julio 1942 Anejo Tequila that you won't notice until you're nauseously staring at your bank statement on your honeymoon.

When you finally lay down you think it wasn’t too bad because everyone smiled and thanked you by the end of the night.

But deep down inside you know that everyone agreed beforehand: ‘Let’s not make her feel even worse on her own day.’

And that these are exactly the stories that live on for years at parties (just never told in front of you).

You're ultimately the one making the final decisions. Your day, your guests' experience, everything that actually matters is in your hands.

That part isn't going away, no matter how much your fiancé helps you or who you hire.

Sure, you could ask your girls, or the wives in your family.

They'll gladly hand you their ‘great ideas’, colours, patterns, that were trendy decades years ago. Maybe some of it might even help you.

But it's like wearing their foundation.

However well-meant, this is your moment. Not theirs.

Before I show you what I created exactly for a busy bride like you, you’re probably wondering by now why I care so much?

Well, during my years as a 5-star luxury event manager, what drove me was seeing the joy of my clients whilst delivering on strict timelines and budgets.

But very early on, I let a client talk me out of double-checking a vendor’s background. It came back to bite us.

I promised myself I'd never let politeness get in the way of protecting my clients ever again.

A few years later, I attended the wedding of a relative. Which changed everything.

For months I had offered my help. But no, she wanted to do it all herself.

Well, you guessed it: it quickly turned into a free falling disaster. Picking up speed as the first day went along.

It could have turned into a full three-day catastrophe if it wasn't for a few of the guests and myself who had to come to rescue.

Watching it unfold from that close was heart-breaking.

And it was so preventable.

Most wedding planners don’t share the real recipe for your success. They'd rather you just hire them for everything.

I've learned most brides don't need that.

They just need a little direction.

Someone to hand you exactly what to look out for, so you can make every call yourself, with confidence.

Because here's what really hit me:

If I handed you a detailed shopping list with every ingredient, quantity and exactly where to find it.

You'd trust yourself to go get it all, right?

The hard part is never the shopping. It is knowing exactly what to look for.

Your wedding isn't any different. Imagine knowing:

  • What to check in a vendor contract before you sign it.

  • Exactly which backup plans to have ready for the things you never thought to plan but ultimately held it all together.

  • Which questions to ask before you consider any vendor.

  • Each specific ingredient needed to make your guests’ feel like A-list stars, no matter what your budget is.

You can do that. You're not lazy. You're just busy.

It is easy to miss things you don’t know.

But you've managed far more difficult things in life.

So, I built the roadmap I wish someone had handed me the first time I stood next to a bride figuring all of this out alone.

And named it: ‘The Wedding Planners Black Book’.

A bit of a mouthful, I know.

But it contains ten easy to follow chapters, covering everything a seasoned wedding planner actually knows, from A-Z.

Like ten easy pieces of cake!

You can take this and run your entire wedding without ever hiring anyone else.

And you'll do it beautifully.

Or maybe after getting a few chapters in, you realize exactly which parts you'd rather delegate.

Plus you’ll know precisely what to ask for when you do bring someone in.

Either way, it remains your decision. You just won't be guessing anymore.

The average wedding costs about $34,000. Your copy of the Professional Wedding Planners Black Book is only $24.99.

Yes, less than you'll spend on your next Charlotte Tilbury setting spray.

I could charge a lot more. What's in there is exactly what goes into $100,000+ weddings. But I wanted this within reach no matter the size of your budget.

So you won't even notice it on your spreadsheet.

Now, picture yourself on the morning of your wedding.

You spent all of yesterday recharging at your favourite spa. You are so relaxed, ready to seize your day. Full of energy ready for your make-up and hair.

You even forgot about your black book because you ticked the last item off weeks ago.

Until your bridesmaids arrive looking at you in awe. They're exhausted by just thinking about the logistics. They want to know how you put all this together, with every minute detail taken care of for your guests and you managed to stay on budget.

They can’t understand how you have been so calm and joyful during the planning.

You feel like you are in the clouds, like you are walking on air. Because your day is exactly how you envisioned it and you are finally there.

But you won't need to explain yourself to anyone.

You'll just smile, knowing that you had the exact secrets most brides never get near.

Ps. Deep down inside you already know which side want to be on.

Either you close this tab now and go back to scrolling Pinterest until 2am. Or try to puzzle together a dozen contradictory opinions in the hope it works out.

That costs you nothing but your time trying to find your way in the dark.

Or you can skip making the mistakes that nobody warns you about.

Like how to avoid spending $50.00 per guest on wedding gifts they will either forget at the venue or bin straight away when they get home.

Don't spend your nights awake in fear of forgetting things. This is supposed to be one of the best times of your life.

Why not enjoy your planning journey too. You deserve to have fun creating your dream.
